Configure pricing, deposits, and tax

Rental products can have prices for day, week, month, and year. The selected cadence and interval price are copied to an order item so later catalog changes do not rewrite historical charges. Consumables use a unit sale price and quantity.

Deposits apply to rental units, not consumables. The order snapshots the deposit at creation. During return inspection, staff can retain part or all of an item’s deposit with a reason; the remainder can be refunded when an online deposit payment exists.

Tax profiles are reusable organization records that may represent taxable or exempt treatment. Assign a default profile to a product or override tax on an individual order item. Orders and items keep tax snapshots so issued documents remain stable after profile changes.
